It’s a Saturday and there is basically no Beyonce news but I did find this video collection of some cool pictures of her. There is a funky set of them towards the end where she’s in a yellow dress that I hadn’t seen before (do you know what it’s from?). There’s also some huge dresses! b5media’s Entertainment and Business Channels are participating in “The Great Blog Off.” I write a blog on the Entertainment Channel (Daytime Talk) and have chosen to write 24 posts (one post an hour) on that site for charity. Click here for more details.
I opted to put up “great moments” from the talk shows and I couldn’t leave out Beyoncé’s performance of “Ring the Alarm.” It was so excellent and so much more energized than the musical acts they typically get on those morning shows. Slow times for Beyoncé news so I thought I would take the opportunity to look at a past fashion moment. So, here is a picture of Bey at the 2007 Movies Rock celebration back in December. What do you think of this green dress?!?! I’m sorry but I think it’s not very flattering. I hate the color, I hate the cut and the fabric (again, sorry). I love that she is a voluptuous woman but this dress just doesn’t even look comfortable!

Beyonce Knowles was spotted leaving Bar Pitti after having lunch at the New York City eatery with her new husband, Jay-Z.
What do you guys think of Bey’s hair color? I’m not really liking it too much. I think it’s a bit too light which can make hair look dry. I have had the same problem so I tend to keep my hair dark warm shades.

We are all familiar with Beyoncé’s lyrics for “Irreplaceable.” She sings “to the left, to the left - everything you own in a box to the left…”
Well, Lil Wayne has a new song called “Comfortable” where he sings “yeah to the left to the left, if you wanna leave be my guest, you can step. Feeling irreplaceable listen to Beyoncé but ok ill put you out on your b-day.” Check it out here:
It’s not the first time Beyoncé and Lil Wayne have been thrown together. Remember his appearance in the remix of the Destiny’s Child single “Soldier?”
I know it’s not a Bey song but what did you think of “Comfortable” (if you listened to it)? I actually kinda liked it.

Ordinarily, I find this sort of thing boring and pointless but, what struck me was that, Beyoncé didn’t have a whole bunch of security with her. She was just wandering through the airport on her own. I love that she’s so normal!
On second thought - can we be really sure it’s her? You never get a good shot of her face… I think it’s her because of the face she made when she realized she had been spotted but you never know, right?

“Umbrella” continues to rake in the goods! Canada’s MuchMusic Awards were tonight and Jay-Z won for his collaboration with Rihanna (obviously that picture is from the Grammy Awards last February but it’s the best I could find!).
I liked the song when it came out but I am so tired of hearing it (and hearing about it) now.
Do you like/love/hate “Umbrella?” Whatever you think of it, tell me about it!!!

Jay-Z may have to change his song’s title to “88 Problems” since he’s being sued for $88 million dollars! What did he do??? He allegedly stole someone’s whisper!
New York rapper, Mitchell Rose, is suing Jay amidst claims that Jigga stole his “whisper rapping” style. Apparently, he gave Jay a “CD containing his lyrics on May 13, 2001, during a Felix Trinidad fight at Madison Square Garden.” At least the lawsuit becomes more credible at this point since Rose alleges that Jay “stole lyrics which resulted in copyright infringement by using selected parts of material.”
The money is to compensate Rose for “loss opportunity and punitive damages for mental distress.” Uh huh…
I’m sorry but I think this lawsuit is weak. We’ll see what the judge has to say. Maybe I’m missing something…

Beyoncé Knowles and her new husband, Jay-Z, have made Forbes’ 2008 list of the “World’s Most Powerful Celebrities.” The list is determined by earnings, internet presence, press clippings, magazine covers and mentions on TV and radio.
Oprah Winfrey made the top of the list, Beyoncé came in fourth place and Jay-Z placed seventh. Can you imagine not only being on this list but also having your husband among the Top 10 as well?
