We already know that Fergie is a huge fan of Sex & the City, and that she recorded the movie’s theme song, Labels or Love. So it should come as no great surprise that she showed up at the New York City premiere of the movie wearing some amazing red shoes. And I think her choice of a dress for the event was wonderful.

Word is out about another huge venue where Fergie will perform. The latest is the Illinois State Fair on August 8. According to STLToday, Fergie is the headliner for the huge annual event this year, and will mark a difference in the type of shows the fair usally books.
State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick said fair officials have been making an effort to bring in a variety of musical acts instead of sticking with traditional country or retro groups that permeate most state and county fairs.
Fergie will take the stage at 8 p.m., Aug. 8. Tickets can be purchased beginning May 24, either on the internet at Ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-827-8927 or visiting any Ticketmaster outlet. Reserved seats are available for $38, $34 and $30. Track tickets cost $38.

Christian Audigier celebrated his 50th birthday at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on May 23. Besides inviting a number of top celebrities to celebrate with him, he asked Fergie to perform. She performed in front of a large set of letters that spelled out the birthday boy’s name while wearing a pair of sky-high Yves Saint Laurent pumps. Now that’s a birthday celebration!!

Here are some snapshots taken of Fergie when she was out and about in West Hollywood on May 24. I am always surprised to see her out walking by herself, especially at night, without any bodyguards. She’s a world pop superstar! And she’s a rather diminutive one at that…she’s only 5′4″. I just hope she can kick somebody’s booty if they try to attack her!!
